Coronavirus: Preventive measures for commercial vessels
Press Release 23 MARCH 2020:In light of the COVID19 spread, Transport Malta is adopting preventive measures around commercial vessel activity.
With immediate effect, commercial vessels and water sport operators will no longer be allowed to disembark passengers in Mġarr Gozo or in other places in Gozo or Comino.
Transport Malta is also temporarily extending the expiry of certifications, registrations and permits of commercial vessels, small ships and moorings.
These include:
- Registration of Small Ships
- Nautical Licenses
- Certification of Commercial Vessels
- Certification of Competency
- Mooring Permits
Boat owners must have a valid insurance policy at all times.
