BLUE MED FAB Just Culture Declaration1 OCTOBER 2021:
BLUE MED FAB, ATCEUC, ETF and IFATSEA signed the BLUE MED FAB Just Culture Declaration
The BLUE MED FAB Member States representatives, together with the FABs ANSPs directors and high-level representatives of the international Organisations ATCEUC, ETF and IFATSEA, have signed the BLUE MED FAB Just Culture Declaration. The signatories of this Declaration will encourage their respective Organisations and their own individual members to implement and continuously improve an effective Just Culture within the BLUE MED FAB.
Just Culture has got a direct impact on lowering incidents and preventing aircraft accidents: actually, an open reporting safety culture significantly raises the number of occurrences that are reported and it is imperative in this light that protection and confidentiality are guaranteed to those who report safety occurrences.
The aim of this Just Culture Declaration is to support the maximum level of compliance with the requirements of the Single European Sky and in particular the European Union Regulation 376/2014.
While the aviation sector is preparing for the recovery after the profound challenges imposed by the pandemic, the BLUE MED FAB is proud of this important achievement, reached in a good spirit of collaboration among all BLUE MED partners together with ATCEUC, ETF and IFATSEA.
