Seventh edition of T-21: The Transport Malta Quarterly published

Press Release 5 OCTOBER 2022:

The seventh edition of T-21: The Transport Malta Quarterly has been published.

This edition will focus on a recap of the work being carried out by the various units and directorates within Transport Malta, encompassing the numerous changes that have been taking place within the Authority.

As of June, Transport Malta has a new Chief Executive Officer at its helm, Brigadier Jeffrey Curmi, who had previously led the Armed Forces of Malta since December 2013. In this edition, Brigadier Curmi comments about his vision of consolidation the Authority needs to undergo.

Due to the changes taking place within Transport Malta, this edition was published later than usual. This edition offers a mid-term review of the work being carried out by the Authority and its vision for the future.

This edition also includes a short interview with the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects, Hon. Aaron Farrugia, where he will outline his vision for the transport sector.

Other topics mentioned in this edition include the maintaining of transport infrastructure, the Malta Freeport Terminals, the Fuq il-Baħar Moħħok Hemm enforcement campaign, the new P+R at Mġarr Harbour, the outlook for Malta’s aviation and maritime sectors, maritime and land enforcement, and the issue of sustainability in the transport sector.
