Changes to personal details shown on a Driving Licence

When any of the personal details shown on a driving licence change, the owner shall:

1. Have the respective Identity Card updated to reflect the changed details;
2. Request a replacement driving licence reflecting the changed details. This can be issued only once the identity card is updated.

Changes to photo shown on a Driving Licence

When a driving licence holder wishes to replace the photo on the licence, the holder shall request a replacment Driving Licence.

Requesting a Replacment Driving Licence

Replacement driving licences following the submission of application form DRV 010 together with a copy of the Identity Card and the Original Driving Licence Card or Driver Permit Tag, as the case may be. The new licence with the altered details is issued against a fee of €10.00.

Urgent Cards

The Authority offers the possibility of ordering your Driving Licence urgently against an additional payment of €25 . The Driving Licence can be collected the day after between 13:30pm and 14:30pm.
