Non-Mandatory Safety Guidelines for Pleasure Yachts < 24m Hull Length Rev.1
The objective of these guidelines is to establish a coherent, proportionate, and practical minimum safety framework for Pleasure Yachts registered in the Malta Ship Registry.These guidelines establish a baseline framework to ensure yacht safety and prevent pollution.
While adoption is voluntary, Operators and Registered Owners are strongly encouraged to adhere to these standards. Furthermore, they must rigorously assess every voyage, taking into consideration both these Guidelines and all applicable safety and environmental regulations to protect the yacht, those onboard, and the marine environment.
