Air Operator Licence

Regulation (EC) No 1008/2008 on common rules for the operation of air services in the community defines air service as a ’flight or a series of flights carrying passengers, cargo and/or mail for renumeration and/or hire’.

This regulation also contains definitions of Operating License and Air Operator Certificate.

 Operating Licence

Operating Licenses are issued by the Civil Aviation Directorate. Every AOC holder requires to obtain an Operating License in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1008/2008.
