The Personnel Licensing Unit is responsible for the issue of Part-FCL pilot licences, ratings and certificates, including certificates of validation, issued under the Aircrew Regulation (Commission Regulation (EU) 1178/2011 as amended).
The Unit in conjunction with the Flight Operations Inspectorate Unit, is responsible for the certification of Approved Training Organisations in accordance with Part-ORA, the approval of training courses, and the certification of examiners.
The Personnel Licensing Unit is also responsible for the issue of the Flight Radiotelephony Operator’s, licence, the conduct of theoretical examinations for the issue of Part-FCL licences, the assessment of Language Proficiency and the issue of certificates of validation of microlight pilot licences.
